My visit to Leeds UK

The staying at UK is same like US, cold weather always even in the April, here also we have to wear the jacket all the time when we go outside. Most of the time sky is cloudy here. Only working people can stay otherwise it is hell. Here we are new came 5 people: me, Issac who met at airport, Santosh, PavanReddy, Srinath. we all go to office by 9:00am -9:30am most of the time. hear everyone wishes with smiles, here people say chears instead by saying bye. This work done successfully? they say have any joy? The most of the time we spent for KT waiting for the people who are going to give us KT(knowledge Transfer). And for me my job is help them who are already working in WebLogic side but here it is old one bit tough to see older one. Here we don't have manager or any leader for us, everyone have someone KT provider thats it.

Respect to Art & Culture

Leeds city central has big Library and museum, where  it has 3 floors with old construction. Inside we can find the hundereds of years oil paintings, scalptures, Most of these oil paints are carved with wooden with golden quotings. One of the painting attracted me is the reflection of moon light on a river bed.

My  London Tour 
I've got down at Victoria Center it is very bigger and  old city where you can find the great world famous  Buckingham palace one side and some memorial parks aside. Here going to urinals is paid and it seems to me too costly .50p that means in Indian currency 50 INRS :), thought we can find in some shop or Library but no one have washrooms there. In the bus stop it is .30p in the trainstation it is .50p crazy prices. I thought we cannot leave with virtusa per diems hassel free. London tour ticket cost me 22 pounds for me! 

City Tour 

Visited city tour trip ticket is 12 pounds per head. General train/bus ticket here it is called 1-6 zones ticket it is 8.90 pounds.Took the second one and traveled to webleyCenter. to go there changed 2 underground pipes(trains that runs underground). Finding the security gaurd near by the swaping michne always shows the relavent path to the train/metros etc. If you are looking at map at trainstation or bus stop. some security guy comes and asks you where do you want to go? interesting helpful. easy! 

In London I been to my old IBM mate it is almost 9 years back worked together, stayed in touch with me on FB! invited me to show his newly bought home & his family. Great time we had there. We watched 'Legend' Balakrishna telugu movie it is per head 15 pounds.

Eating out very careful!

My experiances in eating out at Hethrow airport.  it is always better with known taste food is always safer I belive. Creasonts I had them before in US so I though it would be same. found some flavours, then I thought why not try one of new one. Ordered an almond cresant. it is sweet but inside zilletin. Past time experiance Sami Azam US mate told that avoid selecting such products or anyway you bought it then exclude the middle part and eat it! followed the same. Plain creasonts are good to go. 

Eat at home more careful!!!

The expiry date on Milk, Bread, Yogrut, Vegitables applies exactly as given on the label.  Always double check before using these items. I've experianced with the dangerous Fungus grows on these items as the date of expiry comes reaches.

Fish & barrito

First time in the office cafeteria found Fish fries it was awesome tasted good. First week I don't have cooking option so bought from the starbuck cafeteria it is the common brand which is available in US, and UK. Daily menu changes there so second day I took Fish Barrito after eating felt uneasy, stomach upset. After somedays it took to stable my health. Controlling milk products and limited to Indian food got me back to normal.

Party time!

There was office party we all gathered and went to Indian restaurant with my fellow UK mates. here also ABVP - 'Avadi billu vade pay chesukovali'. It is like anyone can drink & eat howmuch they want but the bill be distributed among all. this party cost me 21pounds. 

My learning at UK:  Time Management

 The time management is most important for who working and looking themself. spending time in the kitchen is preplan is always works good otherwise it consumes lot of time! Here I cooked 1. Palakura Alu 2. Palakura 3. Alu fry 4. Egg curry 5. Gobi alu Dangerous There are some places where just after 7pm ppl try to grab money from new people. it is called mugging. After coming back London it was 1230 mid night. Risk !! going to room it takes 20mins by walk it is not much distance! keep walking some road side peopl drunk and roaming near by restarunts. is looks UK ? Money wise fine but env is cool, lot health issues arises which all ingnored in cold.

The things which fasinated me at UK are free Wi-Fi at Libraries, Airports. Infact this blog post updated from LBA, LHA only. 

Met Great people 

A hardcore WebLogic/Middleware Architect guy named Varadaragopalan Rajan, who play with scripting, sed, perl, awk two hands filled with swords to tear-out the infrastructure problems. If I would have chance to meet him it would be great pleasure. but in this visit not happen.

Santosh Jagara from Warangal always at 12 noon used to call us for lunch. it was great moment all together sit for lunch and sharing thoughts on most of general things. sometimes knowing about more Leeds that could help someone who will revisit again Leeds. 

In this visit I have met Ian Walton who works for Orange/Everything Everywhere. His way work is awesome. I loved to work with him. Daniel Fletcher (Dan) he is funny and interesting guy nice to work with him. Mark
